The TV itself is fantastic, with deep blacks and a good viewing angle for an LED TV. The 4K upscaling of regular HD content is surprisingly effective, it looks like a 4K picture from a normal viewing distance. Occasionally if there is a lot of motion you can see that the upscaling doesn't keep up, but you really have to pay attention to see that.
The breakout box is very convenient, as you can hide the mass of connections from the components and just have one cable going to the TV. The remote is an interesting idea, as it does a lot with a few buttons and has a mouse like cursor feature that really works great. However, the TV is missing a key feature that would make it a perfect universal remote. It doesn't have audio volume control "punch-through". In other words, I can control my Yamaha receiver volume when I choose it as the video input source, but when I'm watching Netflix or any other TV source, the volume doesn't control the Yamaha and there is no setting to configure this. I think this option could be added to the TV via firmware update, and I really hope it does. But until then I need a separate remote for audio volume, which is an annoyance.
